Ok, now you have your web site up, it is ready for people to see...but how do you let
people know about it?
1) Include the web address on documents and material the people
inside and outside of your church will have access to, for example: Bulletins, Pens,
Newspaper articles etc. Any place you have the name of your church, you can consider
putting your web address.
2) Ask other churches that have a links page to provide a link
to your church, as well as the General Conference.
3) Use Meta Tags to help people find your page. Meta Tags allow search engines to
give information about your page that you specify, not just what it can gather from the
first page.
Example from the On-line version of the Systematic Theology Lessons. (found
at
http://www.hutchinsoncog.com/SysTheology)

Note that the description part gives an introduction to what the page is about. The
keywords section gives the different keywords that can be contained in yout page. This Meta information
needs to be included in the <HEAD> section of your homepage.
4) Submit off to a search engive. Note: After a fwe months you may need to submit off
again to keep your site included. We have included the methods to make your page
available to search engines. (See Next Page)
