In this fast paced world we live in its easy for us to miss how God
speaks to us through His creation. We seldom take the time to stop and
"smell the roses."
In February, we did just that. Monte and I spent a week in the Caribbean
(St. Maarten). It was our first visit and it was great. On one of the
days we went out on a large catamaran to an island 15 miles off shore
called Prickly Pear. We spent about 4 hours there just taking in the sun,
swimming; we even did some snorkeling. As I walked along the beach I
could hardly believe how beautiful the water was. It's so blue and so
clean. As I was trying to memorize the scenery the Holy Spirit brought a
scripture to my mind. It's I Corinthians 2:9, "Eye has not seen and ear
has not heard . . . all that God has prepared for those who love Him."
We were in such a beautiful place, but God's Word says we haven't even
seen anything to match what He has in store for those that love Him and
call Him Lord. That's really exciting! We can't even imagine how
fantastic it's going to be in the kingdom. I want to be there! And I
hope you do too. What a mighty God we serve!
